Bedroom Wall – Part 4
Why is everything so much harder than you think it will be? After fixing the ceiling fan, I had a hell of a time finding a ceiling paint color match. And just when I thought the wall was done I discovered a problem. Meh.

I had to wait 24 hours after patching the bedroom wall ceiling crack with joint compound before I could sand it. I sanded it and finished applying 2 coats of blue paint to the wall. I also managed to almost rip our ceiling fan off the ceiling…
This morning I fixed the crack between the bedroom accent wall and ceiling, and this afternoon I started to paint. We also buried Franc today.
Yesterday I began work on the master bedroom accent wall, something I’ve been meaning to do since 2015!
Hubby & I have finally joined the Dark Side and gotten a King sized bed. We and the cats absolutely love it!
In 2015 I completely overhauled the front hall. I tiled the floor, painted the walls, and installed a screen in the window. One thing I’ve been meaning to do since then is install a usable windowsill.
I cannot believe that after 14 months I am finally DONE!!! I am floored. This is definitively the largest and most complex painting I’ve ever done. It’s the first time I’ve painted on large canvas. My typical medium is small square wooden blocks. It was a learning curve, for sure!
The last time I worked on this project was last AUGUST – OMG. I have been working on the chameleon here and there since then, so this post is to bring you up to speed on my progress.
My car is 10 years old – it’s a 2008 Honda Civic Coupe which I bought new [my first and only new car]. For the past year I’ve been noticing weird, ugly, white spots appearing on the roof. Last week I googled what the spots could be and learned they’re caused by sun damage.
I thought I was done with this project, but after living with the girl cave AC cabinet for the past few months I decided I didn’t like the blue I’d used to spray paint the laser-cut wooden door panels.
