This past May, the Mouse Dad escaped his cage while I had the door open [leapt right out past my hand], and ran downstairs and under the fridge. That made me realize that after 18 months he might not want to be a caged mouse any longer.
I built a 90-quart bin cage for the random times I catch pregnant mice in the basement… mouse babies are true escape artists!
When my father called last January to tell me he had stage 4 pancreatic cancer, my life sort of ground to a halt. He passed away a month ago today. Here are my Instagram photos from Winter 2021.
