Salem’s Lot was Filmed Outside our House!
In October 2021, a production crew came to Ipswich to film the newest adaptation of Salem’s Lot / Jerusalem’s Lot, a story by Stephen King about vampires. The majority of filming took place right outside our house!
Tower Hill Botanical Garden on Halloween
This Halloween I spent the night in the hospital doing a sleep study. Entertaining, yet boring. LAST Halloween [aka 2021] we spent our Halloween night at New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill in Boylston, MA. I associate “Boylston” with Boston so much that I had no idea there was an actual Boylston, MA.
New Hose Hook
LAST October, as in 2021, I installed a new hook outside for our garden hose. Previously the hose had either been draped over a lilac shrub or chucked on the ground:
Flameworking Glass Class
In September 2021 [aka almost 2 years ago!!!] I took an “Introduction to Flameworking” glass class with Abbie. It was held at the North Shore Glass School in Salem, MA.
Repairing the Laundry Room Shelf
At some point after I moved into the condo [February 2012] & before I started blogging [August 2013], I added shelves to the laundry room. In September 2021 one ripped out of the wall.
A Mouse Story – Part 4
This past May, the Mouse Dad escaped his cage while I had the door open [leapt right out past my hand], and ran downstairs and under the fridge. That made me realize that after 18 months he might not want to be a caged mouse any longer.
Building a Large [90-quart] Bin Cage
I built a 90-quart bin cage for the random times I catch pregnant mice in the basement… mouse babies are true escape artists!
