I love my basement workshop [basement cage], but there’s only one light. I have my main workspace right under that light, but while I’m stained glassing I am working on 2 workspaces and one is pretty dark. Today I went to Home Depot and picked up a work light and hung it from the ceiling, via 2 extension cords, some copper wire, and a bunch of red twine:
The extension cords extend out of our cage, across the main hallway in the basement, through the 3rd condo’s cage and down to the outlet on the wall:
It makes my 2nd workstation much brighter and easier to work in:
UPDATE 7/11/2018:
In April 2016 I moved my glass workshop up to the girl cave! It’s been 1000 times better and nicer than working in the basement.

Let there be light! This must make working much easier.
Yes, much easier 🙂 I wish there were more outlets in our basement. There’s only 2.
