Today after work I water-sealed/stained our front stoop / front steps with the same water-seal/stain I used for the catio [Thompson’s WaterSeal Semi-Transparent Waterproofing Stain in color Acorn]
Today after work I did 2 things. I [finally] cleaned the mortar and grout spots off our front stoop. This is in preparation for watersealing it tomorrow after work. Then I decided to attack the rust spots on our metal front door, which required prodigious use of my hacksaw!
Today after work, while I was supposed to be relaxing, I built Birdie 2 more cat platforms for the living room. Now I can relax *nods*.
Fall is OK, but it means winter is coming and I don’t like winter! I wish it went from Fall to Spring to Summer to Fall. I was in Florida all weekend with hubby, celebrating his dad’s 75th Birthday – Happy Birthday Dad#2! It was fun – we [Jim, me, Jim’s brother and Jim’s nephew and niece] flew down and totally surprised him 🙂 But somehow I managed to not take even 1 picture. Oops!
Since my last front hall update, I’ve finished grouting, I’ve sealed the grout, and I’ve moved on to the closet shelf and lighter wall color. Today was a holiday from work, so I went to the paint store and bought a quart of Benjamin Moore Marina Gray. However, once on the walls, it looks like cement.
I finished my stained glass spider web today. Abbie gave me an awesome lesson in soldering. And when I got home I painted on the magical liquid that turns the solder from silver to black. Woohoo! Now I can cross that off my list of 2015 projects. 9 done, 3 to go 🙂
First off, the front hall floor is DONE. I’ve also been working hard on my stained glass spiderweb and my 6-panel painting project. I also have updated some pages like my ART page and my FLOOR PLAN page! And I got a haircut 🙂 I finally have enough hair for a haircut – woohoo!
The slate tile floor I laid in the front hall is finally done! Laid, cleaned, and sealed.
